Diagnosis before treatment

Start With Answers, Not a Prescription

Low energy. Lower sex drive. Changes in erections. Less strength. More body fat. Feeling like you simply are not yourself.

These can happen with low testosterone. They can also happen because of poor sleep, obesity, diabetes, thyroid problems, medications, stress, depression, and other health conditions.

That is why WellForm does not start with a testosterone prescription. We start by finding out what is actually going on.

Your first step combines laboratory testing with a physician review so your symptoms and testosterone levels are evaluated together.

Notice a change?

Could Your Symptoms Be Related to Low Testosterone?

You may want to consider an evaluation if you have noticed changes such as these. Symptoms alone do not diagnose low testosterone. A proper diagnosis requires symptoms that fit the condition together with appropriately measured, consistently low testosterone levels.

  • Lower sex drive
  • Erectile changes
  • Low energy
  • Less strength
  • More body fat
  • Low mood or motivation
  • Trouble concentrating
  • A prior low result

Already have a low result?

Bring it with you. One low result may not be enough. Repeat morning testing or additional evaluation may still be needed.

Comprehensive Quest testing

We Look Beyond One Testosterone Number

The evaluation should answer more than “Is my testosterone low?” It should help explain why it may be low and whether testosterone is really the right treatment.

  • Testosterone Levels: Total Testosterone · Free Testosterone · SHBG
  • Find the Cause: LH · FSH
  • Hormone Context: Estradiol
  • Safety Baselines: CBC · PSA
  • Overall Health: CMP · TSH

CBC and PSA help establish important treatment baselines. Testosterone can increase red blood cell production, and prostate health belongs in the safety discussion.

CMP and TSH add context because kidney, liver, blood-sugar, and thyroid issues can affect symptoms or the treatment decision.

Complete the requested testing in the morning. Repeat morning testosterone testing or other evaluation may still be needed before treatment.

A clear care journey

What Happens After Your Labs?

The process separates evaluation from treatment. You do not have to commit to TRT simply because you completed the first step.

  1. 1

    Tell Us What Changed

Discuss energy, sex drive, erections, strength, body composition, mood, sleep, medications, fertility plans, and goals.

  2. 2

    Complete Morning Labs

Complete the requested Quest panel. Testosterone testing may be repeated when needed.

  3. 3

    Review Your Results

Dr. Oben interprets your numbers together with your symptoms and health history.

  4. 4

    Make the Decision

Understand candidacy, possible benefits, risks, options, cost, and monitoring before you decide.

  5. 5

    Monitor & Adjust

If treatment begins, follow symptoms, laboratory measures, response, and side effects over time.

Appropriate treatment, realistic expectations

If TRT Is Right for You

Testosterone replacement therapy gives testosterone to men whose bodies are not making enough and who have symptoms that may improve with treatment. For appropriately selected men with confirmed testosterone deficiency, treatment may improve low sexual desire and other testosterone-deficiency symptoms. Response varies from person to person.

Our goal is not to make your testosterone number as high as possible. Our goal is to treat a real medical problem when treatment is appropriate.

What TRT May Support

  • Sexual desire in men with confirmed low testosterone
  • Testosterone-deficiency symptoms
  • Lean-body-mass changes in some men
  • Correction of testosterone-related anemia in some men
  • Individual improvements in mood, energy, or function

What TRT Is Not

  • A weight-loss treatment
  • A bodybuilding program
  • A guaranteed erectile-dysfunction cure
  • An anti-aging treatment
  • A guaranteed energy boost
  • A promise of muscle growth

Transparent program pricing

Two Clear Stages. Treatment Only If It Fits.

The diagnostic first step and treatment program are intentionally separate. Understand your results before deciding whether to begin TRT.

Stage 1

$175

Complete Evaluation

  • Physician review
  • Private visit with Dr. Oben

This fee does not guarantee treatment.

Stage 2

Evaluate first → decide → treat only if appropriate.

Local program advantages

More Than a Prescription

Many testosterone programs focus almost entirely on one number. Our local program gives you a broader way to follow what is happening over time, alongside physician care and laboratory monitoring.

Measure the trend

Monthly InBody Body-Composition Measurement

The scale cannot tell you whether changes are coming from fat, muscle, or other body compartments. Monthly InBody measurement helps track skeletal-muscle mass, body-fat mass, body-fat percentage, and overall body-composition trends. These are estimates and do not prove that testosterone caused a particular change.

Monthly Ballancer Pro Lymphatic Drainage

Physician-led testosterone care

Your Treatment Decision Stays With a Physician

Testosterone treatment should be more than ordering a lab and choosing a dose. At WellForm MD, your evaluation and treatment plan are led by Patrick Oben, MD. Your symptoms, laboratory findings, health history, medications, sleep, metabolic health, fertility plans, prostate considerations, blood count, cardiovascular history, and goals all belong in the decision.

Follow-up is part of treatment

TRT Requires Monitoring

Starting testosterone is not the end of medical care. It is the beginning of follow-up.

Monitoring helps pursue the benefit you are looking for without ignoring safety. If testosterone reaches an appropriate level but the symptoms that brought you to treatment do not improve, the plan should be reconsidered.

More testosterone is not automatically better.

Fertility can change the decision

Thinking About Children? Tell Us Before TRT

If you are trying to have children—or think you may want children in the near future—tell Dr. Oben before beginning testosterone.

Testosterone taken from outside the body can reduce the signals needed for sperm production. Sperm count can fall significantly, and in some men sperm production can temporarily stop.

Fertility often improves after testosterone is discontinued, but recovery can take time and varies from person to person.

Do not wait until after starting TRT to bring it up.

External testosterone can lower internal signaling, so sperm production may decrease.

Responsible care requires screening

When Testosterone May Not Be the Right Next Step

Testosterone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Your medical evaluation should review conditions that may change or prevent treatment, including certain:

  • Fertility goals
  • Prostate or breast cancer concerns
  • Elevated hematocrit
  • Sleep apnea concerns
  • Significant urinary symptoms
  • Cardiovascular conditions
  • Recent heart attack or stroke
  • Blood-clotting risks
  • Other relevant medical conditions

This is why WellForm evaluates candidacy before treatment instead of treating a testosterone number by itself.
