Dr. Patrick Oben is the Medical Director of WellForm MD and a physician board-certified in obesity medicine. Originally from Cameroon, he completed his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Cameroon before completing residency training at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago in 2014. He is also an AFPA-certified Health & Wellness Coach.

His Story
From Cameroon to Chicago to WellForm MD.
Dr. Oben was born and raised in Cameroon, where he began his medical training at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He later continued his postgraduate medical training in the United States, completing residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago in 2014.
His work at WellForm MD brings together medical evaluation, obesity medicine, patient education, and health and wellness coaching. His goal is not simply to recommend a medication or procedure, but to help patients understand their health, their options, and the practical changes that can support long-term progress.
As Medical Director of WellForm MD, Dr. Oben oversees the medical aspects of the clinic's weight-management and wellness programs while remaining directly involved in patient care.
