What this result means
Divide a clinician-provided protein target, or explore published ranges, without turning the page into a protein prescription.
Pathway A only divides a daily gram target the user already received. Pathway B displays cited published ranges (IOM RDA 0.8 g/kg; energy-restriction review 1.2–1.6 g/kg; ISSN exercise 1.4–2.0 g/kg) without selecting one. Pathway C applies those same ranges only to a user-entered actual body weight. Measured lean mass fails closed because the cited formulas are per kilogram of body weight and no separately sourced lean-mass formula is encoded. Food examples are approximate USDA reference amounts. The tool never invents ideal body weight or a medical protein prescription.
What this tool cannot tell you
- What protein target you should eat.
- Whether to use actual, ideal, adjusted, or lean-mass weight.
- Whether a published range is safe if you have kidney disease, pregnancy, frailty, or another medical limit.
