The treatment at WellForm

A real device. A plan shaped around your anatomy.

CoolSculpting Elite uses controlled cooling for selected visible fat bulges. It is designed to contour one mapped area—not to change the number on the scale.

Exact Elite system

Your visit uses the CoolSculpting Elite system shown here.

Area-specific mapping

Placement and cycles are chosen for the selected pocket.

No incision or needles

Cooling is delivered through an external applicator.

Gradual change

Individual response and the timing of visible change vary.

Consultation comes before candidacy, applicator placement, or a treatment quote.

The device experience

What treatment can feel like—before, during, and after.

The applicator is placed over the mapped pocket and delivers controlled cooling. The experience changes over the course of the cycle, so the important moments are easier to scan here.

Placement is mapped first

The team confirms the selected pocket, applicator contact, and placement before cooling begins.

Cooling feels intense at first

Pulling, tugging, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, or cramping can occur before the area becomes numb.

Temporary symptoms can continue

Redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tenderness, itching, numbness, or skin sensitivity may follow treatment.

Visible change is gradual

The body processes treated fat cells over time. Timing and the degree of change vary.

Your visit at WellForm MD

Consult, map, treat, and review.

The visit begins with fit and anatomy—not a preset package or universal treatment schedule.

  1. 1

    Consult and confirm fit

Review your goals, health history, tissue, and the specific area during an in-person Ankeny consultation.

  2. 2

    Map and complete cooling

If you are a candidate, the team maps the applicator placement and completes the planned cooling cycles.

  3. 3

    Follow aftercare and review

Follow individualized instructions and return for review when recommended for your plan.

Candidacy comes first

A focused contouring treatment—not a weight-loss substitute.

CoolSculpting may be worth discussing when you are near a stable weight and want to address a visible, pinchable pocket in an FDA-cleared area.

  • The concern is a selected, visible fat bulge.
  • The tissue and skin allow appropriate applicator contact.
  • You understand that response, shape, symmetry, and timing cannot be guaranteed.
  • The treatment complements—but does not replace—healthy habits or weight-management care.

Safety screen

Conditions and risks belong in the decision.

Do not receive CoolSculpting if you have cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.

Tell the WellForm team about pregnancy, recent surgery, a hernia, cold sensitivity, impaired circulation or sensation, and other health conditions before treatment.

Rarely, paradoxical adipose hyperplasia can enlarge the treated area rather than shrink it and may require surgical correction. The manufacturer reports an estimated occurrence of 1 to 10 out of 10,000 treatments.
